[Opensim-users] from within libOMV can an OpenSim "create user" be called

Hi Chris. It's not possible to do this from libomv, as it's a mechanism peculiar to OpenSim.

It is possible to call create user remotely via OpenSim's RemoteAdmin [1] interface for a standalone. On a grid, this
is more difficult, though the latest code (0.7.3 dev and 0.7.2-post-fixes) does allow you to turn a switch (off by
default) to expose a createuser POST query on the services which will create a user remotely. Unfortunately, this is
not currently documented and is insecure in an open grid environment.

The Diva distro also has code to create a user. Unfortunately, it needs to be recompiled before it will work with
current dev code.

The final option, as always, is to fiddle with the database directly. This is what I suspect wiredux, etc., are doing.
