[Opensim-users] Support for Colladae Files

Dear All,

I understand that OpenSim has rolled out beta support for the importing of Colladae (.dae) files but yet I’ve trouble importing the files in using SL’s beta view Project Mesh. What happens is that whenever I do successfully import the colladae file into the region, it appears in the inventory but upon dragging it into the world, it simply disappears and does not show up in world. This region is a dedicated server which I’ve purchased so I don’t think it has anything to do with the limitations of being a normal OpenSim grid without beta functions.

Please do help and advice in this area.
