Subject: [Opensim-users] advice for running opensim as a windows service?
I have been trying to install OpenSim as a windows service (sadly, on
Vista) with the sc command. But I have never been able to get past a
"Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request
in a timely fashion" on start. (sc happily creates the service... it
just will not start.) So in spite of much searching, I can't seem to
find any solution. (Other than, of course, switching to linux, which may
need to be my long term solution for other reasons anyway...)
Nevertheless, any thoughts much appreciated.
