Greetings,
I am the grid admin for our community college and I’ve been trying to get
hyper grid to work between their 3 grids. All 3 grids are run in VMware on
their servers and I can log into the servers remotely. I’ve set up a local
set of grids in VMware to make sure it isn’t their network that I’m getting
hung up on and I still have the same errors. The following is the systems I
am working with at home:
VMware Workstation 7.1.5 build-491717 run on Windows 2008 SP 2
All 3 VMware systems are:
Windows 2008
XAMPP for Windows 1.7.3
OpenSim 0.7.2
Check List of ini files:
opensim.ini
Include-Architecture =
"config-include/GridHypergrid.ini"
RobustHG.ini
Updated all URI statements with the local IP and
grid/database info
Region_Center2 = "DefaultRegion, FallbackRegion"
(Each region Center has the grid number added so they are not the same.)
Regions.ini
Using the 192.168.x.x IP addresses for external
Using 0.0.0.0 for internal
GridCommon.ini
Updated all URI statements with the local IP and
grid/database info
The shortcut for Robust.exe properties is:
C:\opensim\bin\Robust.exe -inifile Robust.HG.ini
I moved the regions over on each grid so none of them were using the same
coordinates.
I can log into all three grids without problems. However when I enter a
link-region command:
In the OpenSim CMD screen, on grid 1 (trying to link to grid 2) I get this
on the requesting grid:
Region (root) # link-region 996 996 http://192.168.1.5:8002
12:39:10 - [HYPERGRID LINKER]: Link to http://192.168.1.5:8002 , in 996-996
12:39:10 - [GATEKEEPER SERVICE CONNECTOR]: Linking to
http://192.168.1.5:8002/
12:39:10 - [HYPERGRID LINKER]: Unable to link region
Failed to link region: Remote region could not be found
Region (root) #
And this on the target grid in the Robust CMD screen:
12:46:51 - [GATEKEEPER SERVICE]: Request to link to default region
12:46:51 - [GRID SERVICE]: GetDefaultRegions returning 0 regions
12:46:51 - [GATEKEEPER SERVICE]: Unable to send information. Please specify
a default region for this grid!
R.O.B.U.S.T.#
I get the same combination of messages no matter which of the 3 are
requester and/or target. Can someone tell me what I am missing?
Thank you,
Cuddles McCann
