[Opensim-users] Changing Default Avatar

I have set up a standalone sim, but am unable to change my avatar’s appearance.... Have tried going to appearance and making adjustments but both the skin or the shape both are locked. Is there anyway around this,as Ruth isn’t my ideal avatar.
