It just so happens that I've been doing some work in this area this week. osNpcCreate() now works again for appearance
if the avatar is logged in (and I plan to make it so that it can use saved appearances). osNpcMoveTo() is working, as
are say and remove.
If you do play with them, it's not worth filing any bugs yet since it's still a WIP. There's a new [NPC] section in
config which needs Enabled = true for this stuff to be active.
I'll probably write up a quick wiki page when I'm finished. The bot script I've been using to test is at
