[Opensim-users] Running OpenSIm on server - Xeon 3200 Windows 2008

I am leasing a Carinet server:

XEON 3200 Kentfield 4 cores - 4 GB of memory
Windows Server 2008 Standard 64 bit

It has at least some features of .NET framework 3.0 installed. (Did I
read I need .Net Framework version 3.51?)

MySQL is not installed. (I know that OSGrids asset servers will
replace my own database but need to know how to do this as a
standalone and don't want to use SQLite since I want two regions.)

I am using Remote Desktop Connection to interact with the server. I
have the Filezilla client installed to FTP. Windows Internet Explorer
8.

As I understand OpenSim.32BitLaunch.exe is used to work around the 64
bit problem. I also understand that I will not need mono as I do on
MACs and Unix servers as long as my .NET framework is compatible.

I need some help in installing MySQL and the newer .NET framework.
Plesk would solve the first issue. It could be Carinet techs would
need to change the .NET framework.

Really appreciate your help with this.
