[Opensim-users] Standalone, MySQL & creating new regions crash

I'm trying to get a stable standalone working with the ultimate objective of
operating in hypergrid standalone.

 

I'm using a binary set downloaded from OSGrid as this seems to be better
(less 'flailing' with physics enabled for example) than the version 0.6.7
release.  I've changed the various .ini files for standalone (not hypergrid
at this time) and I'm using MySQL (because I want to separate the data from
the executables) and generally it works OK.

 

However, I have suddenly found I can't add any more regions.  It crashes
with this error:

I don't understand why it is trying to register with the grid as I have set
gridmode = false in Opensim.ini.

 

Can anyone else who is running in standalone, with multiple regions, shed
any light on this?

 

Would it be better to go back to v0.6.7?  If so, how to fix the 'flailing'
when I enable ODE physics (because I want prims to not be phantom)?

Today I ran into a problem with creating new regions in standalone mode.
And I noticed that someone else has filed a mantise about it

Can anyone enlighten me what the advice "So stay with Memory storage for
regions in standalone, for now." means, or more specifically what the
