[Opensim-users] Transfer from Linux to Windows

As Robert noted, it is not all that hard to transfer, but why bother?

If you are going to end up on Win, Mac, or Linux why not start there?

There are currently good notes and tutorials for each of them.

To a Linux noob (me!) the Linux command line stuff is strange at first, but really all you need is about a dozen "canned" commands that you get from tutorials!

Doing a custom compile is much more of a challenge because the design teams favour either Win (Visual Studio) or Linux (typically Kdevelop), but that is a workable problem.

The development team is really good about fixing problems with one or the other too!
