[Opensim-users] Correcting Metaverse Time

Yeah Charles I guess it pretty much is that simple, so let's smack down the
proverbial standards gavel of approval on this one and move on. So unless
anyone has a problem UTC shall be henceforth the standard for time in this
wonderful metaverse we call OpenSim. Thanks to everyone on the great
dialogue, it really shows the future potential for OpenSim.

Dear Robert:

Thats a good point and I think worth a "+1".

Lets just move forward and declare the OpenSim part of the Metaverse to be
based on UTC for events, scripts and whatever.

We are trying to express "Office Hour" for the developers held on Wright
Plaza each Tuesday as 1900 UTC and ignore the daylight/standard time shift
twice a year in some places.

Also, some of us are ensuring that our region servers are setup as UTC for
their timezone and getting used to expressing times like that.

So, ... I would say, "Yes". Lets just start using UTC and as we find each
rock in the way, why, we'll bring out the virtual rock crusher, fix it, and
move on.
