[Opensim-users] Walking thru trees & getting Ruthed

I know these are newbie questions.. but I need the answers.

Can anyone please tell me how to stop:
1 - walking "through" my trees... besides "not walking towards them"???
2 - in single sim/multi-region mode, on program restart I hate getting "Ruthed".
