[Opensim-users] n00b questions

Dear Matt:

You dont have to connect to any grid at all if you dont want to. Basically the grids allow us to test, develop and build a community with OpenSim. But, standalone regions work just fine.

You do need to change your default asset server from "null" to "sqlite" at the very least or anything you create will evaporate when you shut the sim down, but that is about it.

My grid is not connected to any other grid at this time. Is there a way
I can create new shapes ? Or will I have to get connected to the
opensim grid?

Thnx
Matt
