Could be, but then again, an old computer serving as a gateway/router/firewall is in many cases cheaper than a stand-alone router box.. ;-)
The old machine I use is a based on AMD Athlon and 256MB memory with a 4GB hard disk.. Won't set your wallet back more than €20.. ;-)
