We're planning to use Windows Server 2008 for the University of Cincinnati grid mostly because our team is generally more comfortable with Windows server admin than Linux, so I don't have any data to contribute, just that that's the direction we're heading. <div>

My experience, Windows give a much smoother inworld experience then linux.<br>
Linux is free easy to handle. but because mono it can have some hicks.<br>
just use windows for short time with testing.  you will always find something bad at both sides.<br>
