I know this is a result of Using the newest Second Life viewer 1.23 i have seen many reports of Avatars remaining a cloud, i usually direct people to the osgrid Purge Avatar Appearance button on the website, and tell them to use the Hippo viewer instead. if its not related to the SL viewer then i cant really say what it could be, perhaps a bad attachment or body part..
My avatar stays as a cloud ever since 0.6.4, even with a fresh build using the default OpenSim.ini. It does this with the latest SL or Hippo viewer. I saw that a bug was logged in the Mantis (http://opensimulator.org/mantis/view.php?id=3835), but didn;t see a resolution. Has anyone else had this problem and found a fix for it?

I am running Ubuntu Jaunty with the latest updates. I am using Mono JIT compiler version 2.0.1. I also notice a weird behaviour. If I try to open the folder "/opensim/bin/assets/Avatar/Newruth/", that specific nautilus window crashes. But it only crashes if either one of these two files are in that folder: "female face.j2c", "open sim hair base.j2c".
