I see the confusion that's going on here.<br>

"Standalone" is being taken as "oh, poor thing, it's alone"<br>
<br>
Instead it should be taken as "yey! I stand proudly alone and, when the
hyperlink mechanism is on, I connect to whoever I want"<br>
