There's a ton of work ahead before this becomes a serious contender for
the 3D web. For one, I haven't finished doing the obvious wrappers like
prim crossing, much less the less obvious ones like remote inventory
access. One of my goals with letting the devs know about this is to
hear back about all the questions that this architecture brings about,
so that we can address all the issues. There's also lots of unknowns
(on my side) about how the LL viewer works. So launching the idea among
the devs is really important. Beyond that, it's probably too early.<br>

should it be a quiet test for a while?"<br>

Subject: [Opensim-dev] OSGrid <-> UCIGrid<br>
<br>
Hi,<br>
<br>
There is a *very extremely experimental* hypergrid link between OSGrid <br>
and the UCIGrid and vice-versa. Anyone with an OSGrid account can
travel <br>
back & forth. Come as Ruthed as possible, because prim crossing is
still <br>
not supported. The link will last until one of the regions crashes.<br>
<br>
1 - Login to OSGrid, into a region called "UCI Welcome".<br>
2 - On that region, pull up the map and search for ucigrid. The UCIGrid
<br>
Gateway (the hyperlink) will only be visible on this region.<br>
3 - Teleport there. This may be slow, be patient.<br>
4 - Once there, leave a message on a prim! Don't try to TP to the other
<br>
regions on the UCIGrid, unless you want to crash.<br>
5 - To get back to OSGrid, pull up the map and locate "OSGrid Gateway".
<br>
Teleport. You're back, hopefully in one piece!<br>
<br>
