I didn't use the 2.0 preview - I used
the latest SVN about 6 weeks before the preview was announced, and as Dr
Schofield says, I did encounter some problems. I diagnosed the ones I encountered
and found them to be mostly caused by the fact they were rewriting the
.NET library string formatting routines, and as a result I was getting
variable length UUID's!!! (Due to sign propagation on a "negative"
UUID). Apart from that my region came up OK, but then I ran into the same
problem I was trying to resolve in 1.9.1, so I abandoned it.
