<div dir="ltr">Dont misunderstand me folks - I have no issues with the process, it's a good one.<br><br>I do think we could stand to get ourselves together a little better in the face of these opportunities in the future though.<br>
<br>My concern is that we have sent some mixed messages. Perhaps unavoidable, as we all represent different interests.<br><br>Count me in as one of the community testers for the patch when it has been polished. Of course, I will discuss findings here when I've tested.<br>

</div>There is a standard opensim process for these things:<br>
* submit mantis<br>
* discuss (length of discussion depending on level of controversy with<br>
patch)<br>
* look for testers of patch from mantis (especially if it isn't<br>
entirely straight forward)<br>
* decide if patch is ready<br>
* apply if there is agreement it's ready<br>
<br>
People in the community can personally commit themselves to anything<br>
they like, but it doesn't mean they've committed the project to<br>
anything. The project has a process, and the one time we started making<br>
exceptions to that process, we ended up with a branch full of an<br>
unmergable dump. So no one gets special treatment any more. :)<br>
