We are always mindful of compatibility and try to use every precaution
to keep even the master branch stable. When faced with changes that may
affect users in a way that breaks their private work, we do try to get a
feel for the effort needed to adapt.

I know I have asked about changes I intend to make several times in the
past, most recent being the changes to the ini giving a [Const] section
to allow variable to be used throughout the configuration. I have
communicated with the list and those interested enough to maintain
contact in the IRC channels several times in the past. I will leave it
to you to investigate further to satisfy yourself.

I'm not sure what the issue is here but many elements of this
conversation are degrading far beyond uselessness and taking copious
amounts of time that could be spent in better ways. Sniping does not
contribute to any positive efforts or better the code or situation in
any way.

I would like to ask how many contributions you have made - OpenSim code,
wiki documentation, helping users in IRC, etc.?
