That is true but as we all know, stuff happens. You think you have the 
latest version backed up, you do an upgrade, the file gets overwritten 
with the version shipped with OS then you discover the last few changes 
you made are now lost.

I would also point out this is an inconsistency (yet another one?) as 
the other ini files that users are allowed to modify end in ".example" 
and not just ".ini".
