[Opensim-dev] Issues with the Simulator under high load

Hello everybody,

Dorothea Lundquist and JayMaze Yao are organizing a party in the OSgrid
each Friday during the last three years. I am the tech staff of the which
maintains the server and the Software. The parties always are visited by 10
to 20 avatars. The max was at around 30 avatars simultaneously at the
party. That was in the past. Nowadays approx since end of November 2011 it
is virtually impiossible to host parties with more than 15 people without
huge Lag or even crashes. Here's the report from the party from 24.

The question how can we come back to parties without hassle?
