Yes, reCaptcha is the Google service.

@ Nebadon. It's true that a captcha will not deter ALL spammers,
"your" spammer is a good example of that. However, it will stop a good
number of other spammers. And although i don't expect spamming to stop
completely, i do expect to see a decrease in the amount of spammery
that goes on on the OpenSim wiki.
BTW, could it be possible that you have missed something, like a
setting, a variable, anything? Since Wikipedia actively uses that
captcha, it must work in one way or another.
And maybe it's now safe to open the OSGrid wiki again, after all,
"your" spammer may already have moved on.

@ Volker, that Google Capcha service, is that the reCaptcha? If so,
then that would be supported by the ConfirmEdit extension.

@Justin. Maybe bribe him with a cookie? :-)
Seriously though, I would be all for coyled helping with maintenance,
if he's still up for it.
