[Opensim-dev] OpenSim, SLurl and SL Branding

So, it looks like there is no such thing as an opensim:// protocol
(whereas, there's definitely a secondlife://), and thus, there is no
definitive way to have a user be able to SLurl or www-hyperlink to their
sim.

Anytime an outside user tries to use a SLurl, since that redirection
ultimately points to secondlife://, does this basically invalidate all
web-based redirecting of OpenSim, giving whatever good there is in OpenSim
to SL Branding?
