[Opensim-dev] Running OpenSim in the background

This is a very broad topic involving the use of named pipes, complex shell
scripts wrapped around ps, etc.
It isn't something that will be readily covered in an email as it is more
about how to use your operating system to cause programs to behave like
services than it is anything specifically germane to opensim.
It -is- doable though, I've done it in the past on a fairly massive scale
(hundreds of simulators on the box).
