I can confirm that it is NOT working for a avatar on their home
OSGrid viewing online status of a friend on Openvue grid . the
friends list shopws them onlien when they log off, even after a IM
attempt shows it cannot be delivered.

This may or may not be a separate issue, but it MAY not relate to
size of delivery of group and offline message recipients. I see
Robust.exe server crashes on Openvue grid when an avatar on OSGrod
tries to send an IM to a friend on Openvue grid who is offline. Just
between 2 people. No group messages. I see VERY many attempts to
send the message which appears to crash the Robust.exe shell. It
could be that they also constantly keep trying and that this builds
up as more messages are attempted and not delivered. It may or may
not be an interaction with the offline messaging facilities. Clearly
off-line message delivery is essential aspect of cross-grid IM. But
it needs an approach which allows for short and long term server up
and down time and avatar offline status that works for tens of
thousands of avatars.
