Dear Marian:

You might try running the regions on a different server then the UGAIM, I suspect you will have better luck.

In general, we find that the UGAIM prefers to run by itself with no regions sharing the same hardware.

Subject: [Opensim-dev] Grid Questions + Inventory Problem

Hi all,

i manage a small grid with 2 servers and 8
Regions. On Server A
runs the UGAIM Servers + FreeSwitch + 4Region
Instances. Server
B runs only 4 Region Instances. Both
Servers are configured in Grid
Mode. Is this the right setup for such a
architecture? Or should Server A
configured as “Standalone” under
architecture because the UGAIM
Servers are locally and only Server B in “Grid
Mode” to connect to
the UGAIM Servers?

At the moment I am fighting with an
Inventory and Scripting problem.
In the Inventory and Script Window on the
Server A Regions appears
incessant the “Loading…” hint
and only Inventory folders are there. When I
teleport to the Regions of Server B ….
Inventory items are there promptly. It
seems to be that Server A isn’t
capable to access the Inventory Server on its
own machine … really strange.

My second issue is the asset DB. Is there a
way to clean them out … ? It has
an amount of 1,4 GB. I am not sure that we use
so much assets. I think.
Are they deleted from the DB when I delete
a texture inworld from the
inventory?

hope someone has some helpful hints J
