Dear Kai:

We have been doing this for a year now. If you go to Wright Plaza on OSGrid, one the second floor are two large screens. Both of them accept commands to render a web page on a prim using a chat channel. The channel for each one is the floating text above them.

The source for the script is on the osgrid.org/forums and works well.

Charles

Subject: [Opensim-dev] Feature: Render HTML to image

Hi
OpenSim´s,

I've
got an feature request to all of you exceptionally to all Mono-Devs.
My
target is to get an dynamic Texture on an prim which is rendered from an
Webpage.
Means
i will get an 'shot' of an existing webpage on my prim as an texture.

In
my solution i use the System.Windows.Forms.WebBrowser to get it and extended
the content type of the ossl_api function
osSetDynamicTextureURL
by 'hmtl'
If
you call this function with this contenttype you will get an image of the
webpage you like.

Now
my questions

1.
Is this Feature interesting for you (asking for creating a patch)
2.
Is here someone who can tell me if the System.Windows.Forms.WebBrowser is functionally
in Mono ?

Thanks
for your time

Greetz

Kai
