[Opensim-dev] Ini file reorganiSation

I think we need to go into a bit more detail about how the loading process will work.

As we spoke about in the irc channel. If it should load all the ini files from the config directory first and then load opensim.ini ? Or load opensim.ini first and then the config directory?

Should we still support MasterIni being a http url or single local file?

What should happen if either MasterIni or Inifile is a http url. Should we still load any local config files?

I think what we were generally talking about in irc is that we still support MasterIni (MasterPath) being able to be either a http url or single local file, but also add a option that it can point to a folder. If its a folder then we load all the ini files in that folder and merge them together into a single IConfigsource.

Then we load opensim.ini exactly as it is now (either a local file or http url) and merge that over the top of the previous loaded files.

But there are a lot of options that we should get straight before we implement this.

In what way would that break it? It merely adds another options,
namely, _if_ inimaster is a local _path_, descend into it. That
won't change a thing about the handling of a URL.

The rename would mean that grids would need to adjust, but the
rename is the least important part of the proposal and could just as
soon not happen.
