[Opensim-dev] Hypergrid patch

The patch does not build in more recent revs in trunk I applied to a fresh
checkout of r7364 and got a slew of build errors (see the note I attached to
the mantis entry). If we do decide to apply it, it looks like it will
require some updating first.
