[Opensim-dev] User vs Avatar [WAS: Proposed additional db fields]

Was about to say those patches are 9 months old.

They did definitely volunteer a lot in the early days - but in the last 6 months or so I think things sort of just dropped off the planet and moved to a closed source fork. (Slightly ironic choice of name given, but I digress)

I think maybe there's room for diversifying some of the pages on the wiki however, I think there's room for some separate pages here:
        - Based on OpenSim / OpenSim in the Wild
                - Derivatives (Rex, 3Di, 3DX, Tribal, etc), with Open Source ones listed first.
                - In Production (case studies, Black Dress / IBM, etc)
        - Contributing Groups
                - Grids / Companies / etc who maintain X patches per month or fulltime developers?

As for the grids page itself - I actually think this thing is probably growing a little out of control myself. I think the criteria should probably include uptime actually (so grids which are unresponsive, someone can check) get wiped off the list so it's trimmed down a little.
