Hi,

Just a quick note that our group has got SVN versions of mono and
opensim (with all necessary dependencies) compiled for Sun's 64-way
Niagara servers. Sun's multicore UltraSPARC family offers 32-, 64- and
128-way carrier grade servers, well suited for heavy network loads and
the like. Our group together with 3Di Japan is testing and profiling
OpenSim performance on that carrier grade hardware. Our first milestone
achieved! We'll be posting some preliminary profiling data shortly.

Also, it would be great to compare some profiling tests with other
groups that do stress-testing current OpenSim on other architectures,
especially, I'd be interested to know if anyone is running OpenSim on
carrier-grade Itanium2 servers.

best regards
Mariusz
