and it still be client-only. not very useful for us looking at things 
from the server side.

what i've been thinking about is: use XMPP elements and transport via 
our scalable grid interconnects --- that way we are not reinventing yet 
another IM protocol and it should be easy to have grid--XMPP world gateways.
