This is a problem with the viewer - nothing we can solve as far as I can
tell.

Subject: [Opensim-dev] water level

Hi opensim-devs,

Water level being a constant of the estate (region?): is this imposed by

the viewer?
This is limiting; can't model creeks properly. See here:
http://tagide.com/misc/Snapshot_003.JPG
Notice that discontinuity in the creek when it crosses the region, and
the general widening of the creek as the terrain gently lowers.

I would like to be able to spec water level as a function of x, y, sort
of like a terrain -- just another "layer" in GIS terminology. What would

that entail? (Searching in the opensim wiki I found a wish for it to
also be a function of time; I would like too :-)

For now, and coming back to reality, is there a way to spec water level
externally, say in the XML of the region?

Thanks!
Crista
