[Opensim-dev] UGAI using google appengine: good or bad idea ?

No, I dont (for now...)
The actual openUGAI project is written in perl and might not be that hard to port on python.
There is also the litesim project that could include interresting resources.
The idea is to benefit from the uber scalable architecture provided by the google app engine, and its huge storage capacity. The database features are somehow tricky, but this sounds to be the price to pay to reach the impressive scalability google is promising at this concurrency level.
For the moment i am only wondering about feasibility, knowing that there are some limitations with the google app engine about ports. Additional database quotas applies on free accounts, but it may be enough to run a proof of concept.
Before I give it a try, I would like to hear some feedback from people who have some experience playing with the app engine. Also from others who wants to discuss about non tech issues.

Laurent,
Do you have a python version of the UGAI servers?
Cheers

Hello,
Just a quick question i have on the top on my head.
Would the google appengine deserve a try to run a python implementation of the UGAI servers ?
Thanks for your inputs.
