[Opensim-dev] FW: Hello !

Apart from, the err comments that have been made about this, and the mistake of it getting posted to the wrong mailing list.

I think this sounds quite interesting, although I feel the same as Adam, in that I would need to know more details. Can't really find out anything about realXtend or what work has been done on it already.

So without knowing more details, it sounds like they have their own ideas, and so therefore want to have their own project (realXtend) rather than just joining us to work on opensim. So the most likely best situation is the sort of collaboration that 3di and TribalMedia already do with opensim. That is using opensim as the base of their project (and committing their base changes back to opensim svn) while maybe doing their own custom changes on top of that.

So I'm not sure there is much we can discus until we know more about their plans and ideas; which I guess they maybe don't want to publish to a public mailing list like this.

About the going to Finland to meet them, well I'm not sure that I could do that before christmas. So if its was to happen then something like the middle of january would most likely be the earliest I could do it.
