Summary0008877: Teleport Failed. Unable to verify User.
DescriptionAfternoon Opensimulator

I have been wanting to change my domain from *.dk to a *.top but after that all local users can login, but users teleporting from OSGrid get an error like "Teleport Failed. Unable to verify User." If i change MyWorld.ini back to the original first domain as when it got installed it works again.

The only thing i change is the bin/MyWorld.ini to reflect the new instead of old one.

Do i need to change the domain else where? i mean in the Database or something?

Thank you.

Steps To ReproduceI set up the region with now i want to change it to another so i replace with new in my MyWorld.ini all of the entries.

And restart region, then i can't login to this region from OSGrid users. they get this error "Teleport failed. Unable to verify identity."

If i change bin/MyWorld.ini file back to it works again! then OSGrid
users can login again.

Pretty wierd.
Additional InformationMyWorld.ini is the only file in DIVA D2 - Distro that i change.

Domains are resolved to IP addresses so it is likely that when you changed the identifier for your grid another grid still has the old link in cache and will re-use it to try and get auth done. As now what your grid reports and what it has in cache no longer match the auth fails based on mismatched grid url.

You can either ask the remote grid to reboot their robusts or simply wait for dns and other caches to invalidate letting users back in.

allright sounds resonable, is there a way to force that cache to update?

I was afraid that something the database or similar had to change as well.

it seems like i can HG out from the region but not in, not sure how i could clear the cache on the DIVA D2 HG Region. it seems like it still persists from OSGrid to my DIVA D2 Region, so i assume i need to refresh some cache on the standalone region, i noticed that it saves all the hops in the wifi module does it help to delete all related links?

Like I said, if you cannot HG in likely external grid has you cached wrong, you either talk to them to clear their caches and reboot or wait for them to invalidate cache on their own. From your end there is really not much you can do expect maybe some juggling of a redirect or something, but I doubt that works in the end.

Okay i got it cleared out by restarting all OSGrid regions.... thanks.

and also the HG region.

a sidenote to this, seems like that the users keep the old domain name in thair AV when HG Jumping. so it does not show the new domain name. i assume that is in the DB.
