Anything specific? Some logs perhaps? An error?

This is a bug tracker, not a support forum, so unless you are encountering a bug please seek help elsewhere or on the wiki in regards to proper setup and administration.

just after 2 minutes, it turns off and goes off the screen... isn't it a bug? .. So what is it?

hard to tell
maybe a damaged item, or their installation did got corrupted

try
clear viewer cache

if still a issue, try reinstall the viewer
look for its documentation about hard clear of cache.

Could also be caused by bad script, corrupted mesh, old sculpty, etc ...
Do you have multiple regions on your simulator/grid?
(I mean sufficiently distant regions, so that the vieuwer cannot see one region while being on another region).
If so, try connecting to another region to see if you crash there too.
This could help you to know if the problem is all over your simulator or only in a specific region.
If you don't have multiple regions, then add a remote one and run this test, it might help you determine the problem you are having.

Try putting up a empty region to see if it crashes on an empty region ...

If it continues to crash on an empty region , it very well could be a bad viewer or bad opensim config ..

Also providing a portion of your opensim.log at the point of the crash would be helpful .

Also providing the actual version of the opensim code you are using would also be helpful ..

There is a known crash with really bad mesh, that though causes a crash on the region side and a logout for the viewer, not a crash to desktop.

Make sure to use the latest version of say Firestorm and OpenSim.

You can get a recent binary on the wiki http://opensimulator.org/dist/OpenSim-LastAutoBuild.zip [^]

Beyond that we need more information. Both OpenSim and the viewers keep logfiles.

For OpenSim this is the OpenSim.log file and for the viewer you can find a log inside the C:/User/Username/AppData/Roaming/Viewer folder, for Firestorm this is simply Firestorm.log

Please attach these log files at the point of the crash to this page so we can review what might be the cause of the crash.

I did the installation several times, everything was clean .. I'm trying with the latest version of opensim and firestorm. Only 1 land and no prim created, everything from scratch. I do the installation, configure the Grid URI (IP and Port), I enter and in 2 minutes it disappear from the screen..

It's near impossible to debug anything if we don't know what's going. Just from the statements you make it could be any number of things. We need logs, screenshots, information in general otherwise we will be unable to help.

Given there are no further reports however I assume there is probably something with wrong with your setup or your viewer, which does not constitute a bug with OpenSim. This place is only for bugs with OpenSim, usage issues you can discuss on the IRC or on the mailing list, links to that are here: http://opensimulator.org/wiki/Support [^]

One possibility is if you have an Anti-virus software that is overly picky, sometimes a few will see Opensim's network activity as an attack, and kill it ..

Possibly try disabling your AV ...

Otherwise what Tampa said above applies ...
