Summary0008729: LATEST FIRESTORM IS SERIOUSLY FLAWED
DescriptionI was not sure what to post this under. This seems is not an issue with Open Sim but with the latest issue of Firestorm written specifically for Open Sim. Members of our grid have been reporting a lot of issues to us of late. We have been scratching our heads because Admins on our grid, who continue to use older versions of FS, have not been experiencing the various issues. Two days ago we started advising our members to revert to older versions of FS. Result is the problems evaporated.

Your assessment of it not being an OpenSim issue is correct, we don't give support for viewers. The biggest issue currently revolves around crashing when interacting with mesh along with some other issues, apparently caching is broken also. Firestorm is, far as I heard, aware of the issues and may release a fixed version at some point. If you want you can contact them via their bug tracker, but I suspect there is already an issue ticket you can vote for there.
