DescriptionFiles are not imported periodically .dae (Collada). Files are all made in one editor (not from the Internet). Himself do, retain in dae. But often do not load. (although there are which are loaded very quickly, the buildings are about the same size)

Mesh upload is partially handled by the viewer, if it sends data that OpenSim cannot handle properly it may reject parts or the entire mesh. There is no secret formula to get good results every time. Sometimes simply trying again can help, restarting the simulator or even switching viewers all together are really the only options. There are simply too many variables and uncertainties to create a system that could account for them and fix them during the upload process.

This is, by extend, mostly down to creating good mesh and having a bit of luck on the upload process. Frequent restarts of both simulator and viewer. Uploading in parts even, if the mesh as a whole won't work.

About the upload errors, as I said they are mostly viewer side, restart the simulator will not do anything. Different viewers (or versions) may upload meshes that fail on others. If not the mesh may need some changes, so the viewer is able to process it. No idea what to change :(

You can download your own meshes and even prims via the viewer by saving as collada. Firestorm has this feature, but it may mess up hierarchy in the collada structure so the downloaded mesh might not equal the uploaded one.

If you were running your own simulator you could create an oar, the fact you are asking makes think you are not however. If you are simply a resident of someones region then there is not much we can do, you are at the mercy of whoever is running the region. Oars don't contain mesh in a usable format, you can't simply extract meshes from them.

There is no magic to mesh, numbers don't matter. It comes down to complexity and detail, those have a great impact on the success of an upload. You have to simply try, make changes, try again until you find a way that works for you.

Lastly, unless you have actually been able to document a direct issue with the meshing system then Mantis is not the place. This is bug tracker, not a user support forum for residents of grids or regions. If you are having issues with land you are renting or have been given then request support from them instead.

tampa Thank you! I started my server specifically to have all the features. Just surprised by the moment why dae can be downloaded through the client, and oar (for the administrator) can not even be. It would be very convenient to visually load the oar through the client rather than through the console. Have to see how 256 to place the var area to the installation

OpenSim has variable region sizes capable of being expanded well beyond any need for region borders. It is also not trivial to add such a capability to OpenSim as it would require creating the same object on both regions. Either split the object in two pieces or move it.

If you are going to open a ticket regarding every little caveat of OpenSim then you will find most of them being closed. Mantis is a bug-tracker for actual issues outside of general constraints and limits imposed to keep a sane environment. The OpenSim project itself concerns itself primarily with the advancement of the software and less with what the greater community chooses to do with it. Again, this is not a bug. If you wish to help with community efforts then I suggest looking toward a larger OpenSim-related forum or engaging with one of the hundreds of grids out there to create a project of your liking.

There is already a system to create avatars upon them attempting to login, no prior registration required. This is sufficient for most applications. A true guest-like account system is something that may be added some day, but it is certainly not a priority and will not hinder the adoption of the software itself.
