Trying to confirm this issue Isis. I am testing using the latest Git master r/26205 ( Dev Master).

Firestorm does not appear to have a way to save an avatar shape to XML now. You indicated you had tried Firestorm? Can you tell me the tool/choices you used so I can follow along?

Singularity Appearance did allow "Export" of the shape as XML. I tried that and got the XML file out... wrapped in a <linden_genepool> XML tag. Singularity said it has successfulkly exported the shape, but did then throw an error...

The export of file "C:\Users\ai\Desktop\Ruth.xml" failed:
Failed to close file: Bad file descriptor (9).

But I closed that error message, then imported the saved XML file and the shape was reset to the saved XML version.

As a second test I took an avatar shape on AiLand Robust grid, exported it as XML (same apparently ignorable error message showed) and imported it on a test Standalone and that also worked.

So it does appear to work Isis, if you have a viewer that supports it, such as the one I used... Singularity Viewer (64 bit) 1.8.6 (6157) Feb 26 2015

Thanks a lot Austin for testing. I noticed from your tests, that you exported and then imported, using the same viewer. My shapes I exported them at a time as only Imprudence had that feature. And somewhen 2013-2014 as Singularity added export/import I imported the Imprudence shape with Singularity without problems.

Result of the 2nd tests is, that Singularity can import a shape only if it was exported with that viewer. So this seems to have changed.

My Firestorm 4.6.9 (42974) Dec 12 2014 shows Import for me, but no Export. When trying to import a shape that was exported with Imprudence it gives an error.

Thank you, now I know that I need to import my shapes with Imprudence.

I am closing this submit to the Mantis.

Imprudence, Singularity, and Firestorm all use incompatible shape export formats.
