This is because the "glue" between the avatar appearance system and the physics layer is still missing. The issue is known and will be resolved soon.

You can correct for this using the HOVER attribute of your body shape. Edit Appearance and modify your shape. Look at the last attribute in the BODY section of parameters. adjust and save.
