Thanks Yoshiko. Is there any chance you (or someone else) could attach an after image when this is applied? Otherwise I'm not sure how to tell if it has been done correctly.

Yoshiko - what star brightness setting is that in star_aperance_002.jpg?

Thanks YoshikoFazuku. I have added the JPEG2000 data (converted via upload through the SL 3.3.4 viewer and then dump from the asset database) to OpenSimulator as IMG_BLOOM1.jp2 with the asset ID 3c59f7fe-9dc8-47f9-8aaf-a9dd1fbc3bef.

Stars certainly look better though still a little chunk in this viewer. Perhaps you could take a look and tell me if this is what you expect?

For anybody else reading, to see this improvement you have to clear your viewer cache first. At least in SL 3.3.4, it appears there isn't a subsequent attempt to request this asset if it was previously registered as missing.

The chunkiness might be that the bloom (the star) might need to be shrinked slightly towards the centre of the image. When i get a chance ill experiment more with improving the texture

Hi Justin. I changed Openvue grid and its core regions to include the fix.

Not sure I can see a difference in Firestorm 4.4.1... but they don't appear too bad in that anyway. As you say there is still a little pacman bite out of the shape.

Before changes, and after changes and cache clear in Firestorm 4.4.1 images attached.
