Summary0005810: 5 new object settings in viewer 3.2.1 are not stored and applied
DescriptionOpenSim is not aware of 5 new object settings introduced in a viewer update (SL3). They are defaulted to 0 when creating a new object (instead of their normal values as seen on the Linden grid), are not stored in the database or when duplicating an object, and are not put into effect by the server. Those settings can be found in the Build menu under the Features tab, and consist of:

- Physics Shape Type: (None | Prim | Convex Hull)
- Gravity
- Friction
- Density in 100 kg/m^3
- Restitution
Steps To Reproduce- Create a new primitive on the ground and select it.

- Go to Build -> Features and set any of the settings to a value other than 0.

- Result 1: Shift-drag the object to duplicate it, then select the object created in its place. Or restart the simulator then select the object again. None of the settings are persisted, and are set to 0 again.

- Result 2: Make the prim physical, and notice that gravity, friction, mass, etc. are not affected by the settings.
Additional InformationAll 5 settings are related to physical prim properties. Other recent features added to the viewer (such as projectors) appear to be stored accordingly in the database and work as intended.

OpenSim's physics wrapper currently doesn't allow setting these properties and the database storage format and serialization formats don't contain it. Historically, such changes have taken a while to filter into OpenSim due to the size and complexity of the task and the impact of changing storage formats.
