Summary0005301: Warp3DImageModule [MAPTILE]: renders steep hill slope (or high areas) as uniform light blue
DescriptionI note that the Warp3DImageModule renders steep hill slopes as blue/water. The lower level just above sea level is green as expected with the terrain texture in use, and likewise the higher slopes are rocky as expected. But just above the flat area, as the slope goes very steepy upwards before it levels out for the top it shows as a strip of blue like water, which is not as the terrain looks.

An example can be seen in map tile 995,997 Region Lowlands) on Openvue...

Look for the blue strip near in the top right edge.

The recent changes to colouring and lighting for Warp3D map tiles (r/15715) still leaves high cliffs with steep slopes rendered as if they were water level.

The .raw terrain file for ShipWreak Cove on openSim Creations at

is a good example of how the current Warp3D map tile renderer gives a pale blue water like colour to the very steep cliffs round this crater style island terrain. Whereas the web site provides a PNG of an aerial view in a viewer shows how it is meant to look.

The terrain is currently (thouh this may alter) shown rendered by Warp3D in the attached image "Shipwreak-Cove-Terrain-via-Warp3d-r16363.jpg"

I suspect that the light blue colour I am seeing is also for terrain over a certain height. I see the light blue colour on all high terrain levels on the MOSES Warp3d tiles for example. See attached image (2011-08-11-MOSES-Map-Warp3D.jpg) and example tiles such as three and four cells up from bottom left. The high areas are rendered in a uniform light blue, not quite the same as the water level colour used. Is it meant to represent sky? Probably should continue to use the highest elevation terrain texture?
