| Description | Setup instance for standalone with hypergrid by using unmodified OpenSimDefaults.ini and StandaloneHypergrid.ini file. Uncomment Include-Architecture = "config-include/StandaloneHypergrid.ini" in the OpenSim.ini file Startup instance using Opensim.exe Logging in with any avatar is not possible and the following errors are given in console. USER AGENT SERVICE reports unable to login agent and then LLOGIN SERVICE reports exception processing login for agent: System.NullReferenceException: Object not set to an instance of an object. | ||||||||
| Additional Information | These errors do not occur when using the Standalone architecture (i.e. using Standalone.ini instead of StandaloneHypergrid.ini). These errors also occur in r/14150 under the StandaloneHypergrid architecture. | ||||||||

I am not able to reproduce this issue. I can log in just fine with a fresh and basic setup using 80f90229e514075ae8b0c8a38da58e1300780478 (r/14257) and architecture StandaloneHypergrid on Linux32 using Mono 2.6.7. |

Bruce and Marck, there were reverts to take out some earlier commits that led to faulty handling in the server URL code that was affecting gatekeeper URL handling and viewer logins. This was done by Justin to make r/14257 which seems to have fixed the serious login issues in the last few days. I am testing on Grid in HyperGrid mode. But if Bruce is seeing this with r/14257 with Standalones then it must be another issue. Was it present in 0.7.0.2? If not, what changes in this code area have been done recently? |

Thank you Marck and aiaustin. Marck, good to know it works on Linux32 and Mono. I can only test with Windows32 and .NET Ai, my report was based on tests done with r/14257 and I don't see any new date or time for that commit on: http://opensimulator.org/viewgit/?a=summary&p=opensim [^] Did you get yours from another source ? |

Patch form Snoopy in mantis 5124 may fix this since the originator of the inability to login is the Gatekeeper. See error: [GATEKEEPER SERVICE]: Unable to verify identity of agent. Refusing service. |

Bruce, I am using r/14257 of 22-Oct-2010 from the same source. I use the zip and compile from sources on Windows/.NET. I am though running in Grid mode with Hypergrid architecture. |
