Summary0004991: HG between two regions with the same map coordinates fails with no warning
DescriptionAttempt to HG between VUE-5000 (5000,5000) and Mars 1 also (5000,5000) fails without warning.

Since most users set up hubs on "even" grids unless there is some master allocation scheme the possibility of "collisions" of this sort is very likely.

At a minimum this should generate a warning to the Avatar trying to teleport.

A preferable solution would be to set up a temporary HG region at an unused location nearby.

This temporary region should be removed once the avatar leaves the new region to avoid overpopulation with unused "temporary" regions similar to the hard drive fragmentation problem.

By the way, I tried a teleport from Vue-5000 on my grid to one of your regions... and each time it logs me out straight away from my viewer. Other HG locations within reach of Vue-5000 seem to work. Did you spot any issues at your end?

As part of my debugging I moved the Mars regions to 5000,5000 so likely it doesn't like the conflict!

Normally I plan to use "odd" coordinates for all of my regions to avoid that possibility - it was located at 6111,5101.

FWIW I figured out the need for that when I was sailing in the Carribean and did an overnight run between two places that were both very close to even lat/long coordinates. Sure enough during the night we encountered almost a dozen boats en EXACTLY the same course (within INCHES of one another!) it seems that they had all used the exact same even lat/long at each end for waypoints!

We offset the course by 1/4 mile and watched the "parade" all night!

Since then I have always been very cautious about using exactly even coordinates for anything. :-)

It is surprising how often having exactly the same coordinates as someone else turns out to be a subtle problem, and not always when there is some obvious location involved.

Now it should give you a warning. Please test.
