|Summary||0004883: Maya import script not working on OpenSim ?|
I've installed the latest OpenSim (0.6.9) on my computer in order to test sculpts offline. The grid is standalone and not connected to the outside.
I'm a Maya user and normally use this script to import builds into Second Life: http://www.sluniverse.com/php/vb/content-creation/15765-new-hope-import-maya-multiple.html [^]
So, I've tried to use it on my OpenSim install, and it's not working properly. I do all the steps as usual, click on the box, which in turns rezzes all the pieces of my object, but where it fails is it doesn't turn the prims into sculpts, or apply the sculpt maps on them or change their sizes. They remain plywood cubes.
See here: http://i31.tinypic.com/2s13pk3.jpg [^] - in SL, the normal resulting object would have been a textured sculpted chair, but on my OS install, all I get is a bunch of cubes.
Does anybody know if the Maya importer scripts should work on OpenSim, and if not, what can be done in order for them to work ?
My PC runs on Vista 32 bit and I'm using Emerald Beta 1.4.0 (2270).
