Summary0002323: Prims in HUD attachments experience several issues whith rotating and positioning
DescriptionI made a small HUD attachment of 3 primitives then attached it to the HUD, the slot Center. I then selected it in the Edit menu and manually wrote rotations for X Y and Z from the Object tab to rotate it how I wanted. However, while I was changing the rotation I noticed the child prims of the linkset disappeared and only the main prim still displayed. This is however fixed once you reattach the attachment to the HUD.

After that I tried just holding down control and rotating the HUD attachment manually from the rotation bars. This time not only that the child prims disappeared again, but I also got two rotation grids, one around the object and one on the place where it previously was before I picked it up. The attached screenshot shows what I mean (I was using the center rotation grid, the one on the ground appeared once I click-dragged to rotate). A similar issue happens if you attempt to reposition the HUD attachments... I seen some numbers on the ground where the attachment was first rezzed then I lost it out of bounds and had to reattach it.

Tested again in rev 10027. The ghosts seem to have a lighter form now and it doesn't get in the way as much, though they still happen.

I could notice this again in GIT rev 12439, under a similar form.

Is this still an issue on current OpenSim dev code?

Just tested this with OpenSim rev 17539 and SL viewer 3.2.1. The attachments are no longer snapping or creating duplicate grids, but the text on the editor's grid still gets placed in one spot. So there are still some minor interface problems at best, and OpenSim somehow failing to notify everything to the viewer. I believe this should be tested by someone else too if possible.
