Summary 0001696: code for OpenSim--Linden Lab(R) interop
Description the following patch contains the code changes that were necessary to enable the recent OpenSim--Linden Lab interoperability demo.

it's a rough cut, and will be improved over the coming weeks/months.

original patch provided by zha ewry, editorial changes by dr scofield.

 try the file interop_tortoise.patch if you have problems applying the first one with tortoise svn

 thx to the stellar work of teravus this patch is now cleanly integrated in OpenSim as of subversion r5971.
